It’s always a delight to encounter a new Irish Whiskey brand on the shelves of my local SuperValu.
Wrapped in an attractive tin proudly displaying a period portrayal of O’Connell Street in Dublin, including the General Post Office from where the original proclamation was read, starting the founding of the Irish State in 1916.
Proclamation Irish Whiskey certainly stood out among the other brands sharing it’s keen price point.
‘Matured in bourbon casks & blended with a touch of sherry finished malt.’ is the information given – along with extensive tasting notes on the back – as to the contents of this bottle.
A light golden brown colour complete with viscous legs.
Aromas of soft warm caramel, a touch of sherry sweetness & a hint of nuttiness to add some depth & complexity.
Very inviting.
Suitably smooth on the palate – but entertainingly so.
The nuttiness follows through into a softly drying sweetness with an added flourish of some oaky spice too.
The finish was rather brief – but Proclamation certainly lifted my spirits!
A very pleasant easy going sipper with a touch of character – and a long pedigree.
Definitely one to have on the shelve at home!

We note that this whiskey (Proclamation Whiskey) Won a GOLD at the San Francisco world spirits awards. This is the most prestigious awarding body in the world. This is a fantastic whiskey so smooth and no afterburn. Love that 40.7% strength just that little bite. 0.7% like that completeness in keeping with the seven signature’s on the Proclamation. Brilliant labeling and just love the cannister it makes the product. The bourbon twist that makes it special and the hint of caramel the inventers / master blender have thought of everything. We are of the opinion this will be a leading Irish Whiskey in the very near future. The reality is the whiskey will be loved by all the millions of Irish in the USA. Asia and Russia and Japan its their type of whiskey. Its different from all the other Irish Whiskeys on the market . Genuine story that is Ireland and putting that bourbon twist into an Irish Whiskey has changed it into a fantastic whiskey, price point is perfect. Great reviews. Difficult to get outside Ireland. The world will just love this whiskey its drinkable smooth and we LOVE it . We would love to see a “Proclamation Special Editions” in the future. We look forward to getting the full story and updates on your website. Its a winner.

Very hard to get in the USA, Sold out on Mash and Grape. This is one of the best whiskeys every to come out. We agree with all the reviews. Going to be loved worldwide so this is going to be in big demand and at the price point it will be snapped up.. A whiskey that will sell in the millions given the right exposure in the whiskey world. Winning Golds shows how good it is. Great name and story Its just perfect.Great Reviews
