Named after the Irish Channel area in New Orleans where the hard working navvies who settled there & helped construct the New Basin Canal is this blended Irish & American Whiskey.
Seven Three Distilling Co are behind this release.
I’m a little unsure if any actual Irish distilled whiskey has made this blend as on 73’s website it also says ‘a small batch blended whiskey made in the Irish tradition‘.
What that tradition is isn’t made clear either.
The whiskey does salute the hard work thousands of Irish immigrants contributed to the making of modern America however & for that alone – I’d be happy to taste this blend.
There’s quite a few releases mixing Irish & American whiskeys on both sides of the Atlantic – Irish Channel adds this bottle to the mix.
